How to Request letters testamentary?

Answer: That depends on into which county probate court you are eFiling, Harris County or all others:
Probate courts in all other counties -
- Create a cover letter. The format of it is unimportant. You just need something to upload,
- Choose a Filing Code of Requests on page 2 of the eFiling process.
- Upload your cover letter as the lead document.
- Under Additional Court Services check "Issue Letters Testamentary, Guardianship, or Administration"
- Make sure you request the correct number of letters.
- Complete your submission in the normal manner.
Harris Count Probate Court -
- Create a cover letter. The format of it is unimportant but mention that you need [number] of letters testamentary. You just need something to upload,
- Choose a Filing Code of Requests on page 2 of the eFiling process.
- Upload your cover letter as the lead document.
- There is no option to select for Letters Testamentary so you have to pay for them indirectly:
- The cost of a letter testamentary is $2. Click to select Copies-Non Certified at $1 a page. Order two copies for each letter testamentary.
- Complete your submission in the normal manner.
