How to file as a court receiver?
Question: I am a court receiver so I'm not an attorney of record for the case and I don't represent any party. How to I efile?
Answer: As a court receiver you submit eFilings in the usual process as everyone else does. However, here is how you handle those two issues you brought up:
- Attorney of Record - The eFiling system requires an attorney of record for each attorney filing by design. That does not mean that you are actually an attorney of record for the case. You can select yourself if your name is available or any other available attorney name.
- Case Party - Again, the design of the system requires every filer to show a party represented. You need to click the green Add Case Party button and then add your name. Choose Receiver as the Party Type. You do not need to enter your address. Be sure to click that you are your client.
Proceed through the eFiling process in the normal manner after this page.
