Document contains fillable-text fields
eFileTexas Fails entire submissions when one of the PDFs in the submission contains fillable-text fields.
A PDF containing fillable-text fields typically is a document such as the Civil Case Information Sheet or Process Request forms in PDF format in which you are able to directly type in information.
These PDFs are easy to recognize as they contain the message that you see in the screen shot below.
If you simply Save the document after you complete it you preserve all the coding that made it fillable and that is what causes eFileTexas to Fail the submission.
The only way to rid the document of the fillable text coding is to print it.
If you have software that enables you to print this PDF as a new PDF that is the simplest and most straightforward solution.
If you are not able to print the document to a new PDF file you need to print a paper copy, scan it, and save it as a PDF file. If your firm has chosen one of our pay-per-submission fee plans, FileTime will be able to convert this PDF to a text-searchable PDF file when you upload the document.
