Are Case Parties Required?
Question: Do we have to enter case parties in subsequent filings for a case? It seems to me that they are already associated for the case via the plaintiff's filing of the original petition.
Answer: You are correct in assuming that the case parties are already associated with the case. So, the answer to your case, is No, you do not have to enter case parties for subsequent eFilings in a case.
You can enter new case parties and you cannot change case party information after it has been submitted.
In the larger counties where eFileManager can provide us the case party information for cases this is not an issue. Entering case party information for subsequent filings is only an issue in the medium sized and smaller counties in which that information is not provided to eFileManager by the jurisdiction.
