Document Upload Policy - Travis County Court at Law and Probate
General Information
- Credit Cards Accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express
- Court is integrated. Case information for an existing case may be provided to you.
- Court is not charging the $2 cost recovery fee.
- Multiple lead documents per filing are allowed.
If you have matters before the Probate Courts , you may find it useful to review information such as Probate Court Local Rules or e-Filing Rules. COUNTY COURT AT LAWInitial Filings
- Case Information Sheet should be submitted as a stand alone lead document.
- Exhibits may be individually uploaded or merged together submitted as an attachment to the original petition.
- Order and pay for Citation Requests, Copies and the like under Court Services.
- The filer can request copies under Court Services to be attached to the citation.
- The addresses of the plaintiff are required. The address of the defendant is required.
- In preparing an Original Petition all parties should be listed.
- Cause number must be in ALL CAPS (formatted C-1-CV-[last two numbers of year filed] - 6 numbers)
Subsequent Filings
- Items not needing a file stamp (proposed orders, notices, etc) should have a cover letter as the lead document.
- Motions should be filed as a lead document.
- Exhibits should be filed as attachments to the lead document.
- File a cover letter as the lead document to request citations and the like. Order and pay for these services under Court Services.
- Cause number must be in ALL CAPS (formatted C-1-CV-[last two numbers of year filed] - 6 numbers)
Travis County do not want the descendant's information as a case party, they will take that information from the document(s) you upload. Please only put the required parties.
Probate Court requires the initial filing of Application, Will, Death Certificate and Information Sheets to be uploaded as a lead document and not as an attachment.
Case Information Availability
This jurisdiction’s Case Management System, (CMS) is fully integrated into the State eFiling system.
When you are making a subsequent eFiling into an existing case for this jurisdiction your case should be available in the eFiling system and your case information will be automatically imported.
