Document Upload Policy - Denton County District Court
General Information

- Court is integrated - Case data will be provided for existing cases.
- Court is charging $2 cost recovery fee.
- Attachments to lead documents are allowed
- Multiple lead documents per filing are allowed.

- Upload exhibits, etc. as attachments to the lead document.
- Case Information Sheet should be submitted as a lead document.
- Use a completed Request for Issuance form as the lead document in new filing to request citations, etc. (Note: There are limited options available under filing code; therefore select one with $0 (ensure that the cost remains at $0 before submission of this form) and the district clerks office will correct - Per Kelli, Denton County District Court.
- Request citations and copies under Court Services.
- The addresses of the plaintiff are required. The address of the defendant are required.
- In preparing an Original Petition all parties should be listed.
- Case Information Sheet are accepted in subsequent filings as a lead document.
- Motions should be filed as lead documents in separate filings.
- Proposed orders should be filed as lead documents in separate filings.
- Use a completed Request for Issuance form as the lead document to request citations, etc.
- The request form MUST be a separate lead document (it is not an exhibit to another document, so please do not add it as an attachment to another lead document)
- Select the Filing Code: On New Suites select “Application” and on Subsequent filings select “Request”
- Select the correct Issuance Fee under "Optional Services"
- If requesting issuances to be served by Certified mail or through the Denton County Constable or Sheriff, the fees for a copy of the Pleading to be served NEED to be paid. Select “Copy(ies) for Service ($1 per page
- If a Denton County Constable or Sheriff is to serve the issuance, please select the appropriate service fee under Optional Services
- Upload the "Request for Issuance form" and DO NOT attach the pleading to be served
- Complete the efiling submission
- This jurisdiction’s Case Management System, (CMS) is fully integrated into the State eFiling system.
- When you are making a subsequent eFiling into an existing case for this jurisdiction your case should be available in the eFiling system and your case information will be automatically imported.
