Question: How do I cancel a filing, or can I?

Answer: Yes, you can cancel a filing, or all the filings in a submission, if you do so before the clerk opens them for review. When you successfully cancel a filing all fees for that filing are refunded.

1. Here are instructions to cancel a filing:

Login at www.filetime.com

Click Filings (A) on the sub-navigation bar.

All your filings display on the Filings page.

Find the filing in question and click on it to highlight it (B).

If it is in gray font and the status shows Submitted (C) (not Under Review or Accepted) you are able to cancel it.

Click the Cancel (D) button in the Filing Details area.
