What are the fees charged for eService?

Under the eFileTexas system, there are no specific fees charged for submitting an eService.

Fees are only charged for a submission, regardless of how may eFilings or eServices are associated with the submission.

The submission fees, other than court costs associated with the filing of any court documents would include:
  • Case Initiation fee (charged only with the filing of the original petition or its equivalent).
  • Any jurisdiction service fee (typically $2.00 if the jurisdiction collects it).
  • Service provider fee.
  • Sales tax on the service provider fee.
  • eFileTexas convenience fee of 2.89% of the above fees.
Therefore, if you are submitting eService along with an eFiling, there is no additional cost for the eService.

If, however, you submit an eService alone, such as serving discovery on opposing counsel without filing the document(s) with the court, you would pay the following submission fees:
  • Service provider fee.
  • Sales tax on the service provider fee.
  • eFileTexas convenience fee of 2.89% of the above fees.
